the last hours
Thursday, December 31, 2009,

It's the last few hours of 2009.

Just the other day, the newspapers were trying to find a name for this decade (2000-2009) as all the other decades have a name. It then occurred to me that a decade has passed. Today, during SC meeting, Mr Teo talked about reflecting upon this year - Have I grown? Have I made a difference to the people around me? Really made me feel so sad that another year has passed just like that. It just seems so surreal how time seems to fly and now I'm a year older. More responsibilities and definitely more stress. Like, it's back to LESS sleep and MORE work, the horrible feeling of sleepiness during assembly and lessons. Sighs. Next monday.

I really want to make 2010 matter. Next year is like the prime year of school life. So many choices to make, all the memories that will be made. Oh, I just wish my little brain can take it all in. :)

Enough of emoing. :D So I went to the IA Christmas Party on Monday and it was totally FUN! :D Ate food that was almost not enough, played games that was super coool and basically BONDED WITH EVERYONE. Just really appreciate how the OHANA spirit is so present in SC, like you ALWAYS feel included and engaged. :) My only grouse: They keep scaring me with Yi Siang's rabbit. -.-

WOOTS, traffic light made from drinks of different colours! :D Gotta admit we ARE creative. ;D

EPIC VIDEO BY FLOOR-HORNS.

Sorry it's upside down. :X

Hahas, listening to 98.7FM's Top 100 countdown now. :D LOVE IT, because they are playing ALL MY FAVE HITS. ;D Not the mindless raps that I don't understand. 0.0 Will be spending the New Year's Eve with a great dinner with my family later followed by Watchnite service at church later. :) Have a great new year everyone! :D

the old and the new
Saturday, December 26, 2009,

I KNOW I KNOW RIGHT! I never thought the day would come too. But it has. See this new skin? Yeah yeah, I changed my mind from the pink one but oh well, at least I changed it. ;DDD And now to wait for another 4 more years before I find my next new skin. :) The original skin had no title so I had to painstakingly try to copy from other skins to insert a title, plus the colour and all... HTML's painful stuff man. This is why I will remain a blogskin appreciater and not a skinmaker for probably the most of my life. :D

Christmas was quiet for me this year. Sadly. Yesterday I went to my auntie's cool bungalow/terrace (I can never tell the difference between the two -.-) house for Christmas. They were watching twilight when I arrived. WOOTS! Frankly, I quite prefer new moon to twilight. Catherine Hardwicke made twilight more of a musical if you ask me. Chris Weitz had the balance right. :D I hear Eclipse is done and waiting to come out next June. YAY, can't wait! I'm not that into Twilight but I think the films are great. :)

Then we ate. Food at my auntie's house never fails to satisfy. Zishan, this is the place for you. :D PORK CHOPS AND CURRY VEGETABLES RULE. XD Then my little cousins, Caleb and Lauren entertained us with their cute antics for the night. I can tell little Lauren will grow up to be an attention seeker. :) We ended with watching this movie called Juno. Well, I love the script writing and the acting by Ellen Page. Chemistry was GREAT. But like what Olivia says, there's really no plot to it. -.-

Mum and I placed the family's presents under our "Christmas tree" for decoration's sake.(Yeah, we don't open our presents until like late late December.) Enjoy our art!

You just gotta love our Christmas tree man. Ultimate conventional. :)

Yep, I can totally enter gift arrangement competitions. :D

Kay, off to a gathering at Uncle Wai Ming's place! Looks like the fats won't go away... Sighs.

When the Light of the World came down...
Thursday, December 24, 2009,

Just so the blog doesn't end up dead, I'm blogging. :D WOOTS!

Christmas is tomorrow people! Excited excited! :D Sometimes though, I think the gift giving and gift receiving becomes the whole point of this season. Early in the month, during devotion, I read that Jesus is really the whole point of Christmas. God sent his Son down, from the riches of heaven to this lowly earth, all for us. His ULTIMATE GIFT is why we even give gifts today. Thank you, Father! The devotion then encouraged readers this Christmas to focus on Christ instead of being so concerned about giving gifts or the gifts we receive. Timely reminder for me even as I prepare gifts for people. :D

Amidst the lights and decorations of this season,
I will choose to follow the one true Light.

Light of the world,
You stepped down into darkness.
Opened my eyes, let me see.

Merry Christmas everyone! :D
