Lol! So how are your peepers doing, ppl??? Fine? Glad to hear that since the last post was quite long... *readers groan* Okok, maybe it was not quite long but very long, ok? Lol! Ok, continuing on my updates...

The Learning Journey was cool. We got to visit all the places of worship like temples and churches. While in the bus, Uncle Richard told us about loads of Singapore history and pronounced Temasek as Ter-mer-sehk when most of us would pronounce it as Ter-mah-sehk. Notice the difference in the second syllable??? Lol! His accent was quite amusing. The first place on the list was the Chinese temple, which was really fun. Uncle Richard told us many stories and customs regarding the temple, like the few reasons why there is a raised platform at the entrance of the temple, the story of the Black General and the White General and also the emperor of china's "guards". It was quite fun as the tour guide, Uncle Richard, was very funny and dramatic as well. I like. Lol! Maybe I will find time to blog about those stories during the holidays. Oh ya, and we also learnt that the temple we went to which is the Thian Hock Keng Temple (is it???not too sure though...) is actually a synthetic temple which means like the main part of the temple, a Buddhist God is erected and for the secondary parts of the temple, Taoist Gods are erected. Pardon me if some of the information is wrong... Can't really remember... Hehe! But I hope most of it is correct... Lol!

Thereafter, we proceeded to the nearby food centre for our break which is WAY past our recess time at school. I know, I checked may watch. -_-" Me and Eunice bought a Sugar Cane Juice to share and a you tiao (fried dough stick) while some of our other classmates felt a tad hungrier and bought bowls of fishball noodles to share. Lol! One thing's for sure, we all enjoyed our time at the food centre...

Then, we travelled to the St Andrews' Cathedral. I liked it there but we had to speak really softly cuz' some people were there worshipping and praying. As a result, I couldn't hear Uncle Richard's information on the Christian religion... Oh well, at least I already know about all the information cuz' I'm a Christian too (like Uncle Richard!). Lol!

Anyway, thereafter, we went to another Chinese temple where we got to just walk one round and as we got in, I saw a lot of ppl just like shaking some bottles with sticks in it. You know, those kind when they wanna know their lives and future then they shake that bottle and the first stick to come out; they will take it to the counter to get a paper that will tell them their future. I couldn't really hear what Uncle Richard said as it was a bit noisy cuz' a lot of ppl were there. Then, we walked to the Hindu temple which was just a stone's throw away and learnt about how the Hindu temple and Chinese temple were quite similiar and also learnt about the few things that Hindus must do before they go inside the temple. First, they have to ring the bell to tell the Hindu Gods that they are coming in to pay their respects and pray. Then, they will buy a coconut that they will throw onto the ground which signifies that their ego has been broken and they are very humble. Then they have to wash themselves before going in to pray if I'm not mistaken. After praying, they have to ring the bell again to tell the Gods that they are leaving. Isn't it amazing how there's a reason full of culture behind each custom that a religion has??? Cool right?

Anyway, after that, we went to the Sikh temple which was fun too! We had to put on scarfs and handkerchiefs as it was their custom. Then, we put our shoes on a rack before going to the hall where the Sikhs pray every Sunday. There, Uncle Richard told us about Sikhism and that they had to wear the 5 "K"s with them always. First, is a cotton pants, a small knife for protection, a metal bracelet, long, uncut hair and I think the last one, is a piece of cloth on their heads which is a turban. They are called the 5 "K"s cuz' they all start with letter K in Sikh language (is it?). After the lesson, we walked round the altar while a Sikh who I think takes care of the temple handed each of us some "candy" and put it in our hands. I tasted a bit of it and it was nice. Something like flour, you know those kind of paste that you make before plopping it onto a tray and putting it in the oven??? I love those kind. Uncle Richard said that it was a blessing given to visitors, believers and non-believers alike, who leave the temple. Then, as we were going to the last destination, the mosque, we passed... St Margaret's Primary School!!!! Omg! I didn't know that St Margaret's was just beside the Sikh temple!!! I quickly alerted Rebecca and Sarah and we all gawked at the school. The wonderful school... Ahh... *gazes dreamily into thin air* *readers snap at LQR in impatience* Oh, erm... sorry ppl! Got a bit dreamy down there. Ok so back to the mosque. We were told about the different steps a Muslim had to do to purify himself before going into the mosque. The mosque that we went to was very old, as told by Uncle Richard, as it was given by the government to the Sultan years ago to build his palace and also a mosque to worship in. Do you know that the base of the onion-shaped thing (sorry, I don't know what it's called... If you do know, pls tell me! Hehe!) that is found on all mosques, on that mosque was actually made from bottle caps??? The reason is because when the mosque was still being built, donations were collected and people in the past sold oil in bottles and collected deposit so when the buyers return the bottles, the owners decided to donate some bottle caps to the mosque and ta da! The base was made of bottle caps! Quite unique, don't you think??? Too bad we weren't allowed to go in the mosque but I heard that the B class got to go in... Oh well! At least we could still see the area where the Muslims washed themselves before going into the mosque from where we stood... Overall, I loved the whole excursion!!! It was cool learning about the different religions! Lol! Oh well, I think your peepers need another looong rest... so tata peeps!

Hey peeps! A little warning for you readers out there - The following post is gonna be a long one so to put your little peepers to rest, I have divided the post into many parts. If, at any point of time, you decide to rest your peepers and continue to read later, I will totally agree with you. So here goes...

Omg! My birthday was the best I've ever had! Sheesh! And I thought everyone had forgotten about it... *sniffles* Lol! When I came into school, I was all smiles and friends immediately started wishing me a very happy birthday. Well, you know what? I really had one! And then, some friends started handing me some presents and omg, I was so overjoyed! Love the presents, y'all! And then after school, Sheena, Sofea and Jolina tricked me into a surprise birthday party at Lydia's block void deck. They claimed that they needed help with the new Maths topic "Circles" and you know what??? I actually believed them! My gawsh!!!! But, it was indeed a pleasant surpise. You know, like we usually have "surprise birthday parties" for our friends on their b'days, except that it becomes not so much as a surprise because the girl finds out beforehand. But this time, it was a GENUINE one. It was like when I appeared, they hid behind a wall and sprayed some pink gooey stuff and blowed bubbles on me despite my pleas for them to stop. Lol! But since it was the void deck, we had to pick up the pink strings everytime they sprayed them. And there were chips and Yakult. And after that, we went to the playground to play catching, Splat and swing the swing. Lol! Fun, fun and more fun! Which so happened the ice cream man came at the time and we quickly ordered some ice cream! *Burp!* Now, we really ate until we were full! But too bad, it was not all play, we had to go for our Science Star, which was when Tze Xin gave me a yellow notebook that had all the netballers' greetings inside, which is like so sweet!!! =) Love it! Oh ya! And my beloved mummy bought a mango ice cream cake to cut during CG! Too bad not many ppl came... But I still had a lovely b'day!

It has been approximately one week since the b'day outing but I still insist on reporting on it cuz' it was so much fun! Amanda and I could hardly wait for Han class to be over! After the class, we jumped up and down in the car while driving back home to meet the rest! Lol! After gathering together, we went to Tampines Mall to watch "Bridge To Terabithia", which is like so cool. We ate popcorn and nachos and talked about the movie. Omg! Nothing is better than doing this with some of your best friends except that Jacqueline and Amanda cried a few times during the movie! Jacqueline - 4 times and Amanda - 2 times as stated by them. Lol! We took some Neoprints thereafter. It was so fun. We posed like crazy people and decorated our pictures after that. Omg! I think that was one of the fun moments of the day! After that, we went to Fish and Co. for some dinner (we actually wanted Pizza Hut but it was too crowded! Blehx!). Can you believe that when we got the menues, we all actually wanted the same dish??? We all chose the mermaid rings which is calamari rings. And we pledged to finish the food given to us and to think of the people in the poorer countries. I know, we're lame. Lol! Next on the list was to go to Haagen Daz for some fondue. We begged my mummy to ask the manager to let us sit at one of the red seats which was fully occupied. Then, when our fondue finally came, we were screaming like maniacs until people stared at us like we were maniacs. We quickly took the forks and stuffed the fruit and ice cream into the creamy chocolate fudge and put it into our mouths all the while, exclaiming like maniacs that it was the best fondue that we ever tasted and that it was the first time we tasted fondue! (Did you count how many times the word "maniacs" appeared???) Lol! Then we went back to my humble little home to open up my presents that my dear friends bought for me!!! Lol! Here comes the best part - I LOVE opening presents!!! Below is a list of the presents that I received as a tribute and to thank all the nice friends that I have...

Annabel - A Diary with those *click-click* locks (kewl!)
Yvonne - Handphone pouch (St-yyy-le!)

SA1 is over!!!!!! What does the typical blogger, Latinqueen Regina do? Blog, of course! Ok, I admit, that was a pretty lame way to start a post... But I have to emphasise the fact that you can't really expect any good fanciful starting from Latinqueen Regina... Sorry guys... Ok, anyway, so it was like really irritating when the guys in the Maths Olympiad groups were like laughing like hyenas, practically. I mean... ok, I shall not comment further, just take a look at this little conversation in the bus and you'll see what I mean...

*LQR walks to the front of the bus and looks at what everyone is doing.*

LQR: Ooh, look! Annabel's sleeping! I feel tired too! I think I'll go sleep for a while! *makes way back to seat*

Boys: Sleep! *laughs their heads off*

LQR: *glares at them* Can you all just stop being lame???

Boys: Lame! *Laughs hysterically*

Amanda: Can you boys just please give us some peace???!!!!

Boys: Peace! *Laughs like hyenas*

Ok, I shall stop here and refuse to go on cuz it gets more irritating that trust me, you feel like strangling them to death but anyway, you get the drift... It carries on even until we reach the school...

Now, my legs are hurting like mad and I think I sprained them during 1.6 km run... Sheesh man! Anyway, these pains always come at this time of the year cuz this season is sorta like "Napfa season" where you expect A LOT OF pains ranging from muscle cramps to head pain, back pain, hand pain, leg pain and almost any kind of pain possibly caused by the Napfa... That's why we students have no choice but to train hard for this one time of the year to get a gold for it cuz when you see the fine print "Gold" on your report book, you feel good, right? *all nods in agreement(ok, maybe not all)*

Ok, now for the updates on the blog... If you all have noticed, I have added a mini calendar under the category "Important Dates". It's just a little something to remind some of the forgetful ones(like me) of the date and also some brief notes on my experiences if I don't have any time to blog, so yeah, check it out. And I have just deleted the lines and lines of words that used to be below the music player. *Readers shouts "Yeah!" in unison and punches fists in air* But I hope all of you can still see a bit of the words in the music player... There's a record 47 songs in the player so you have to scroll down to search and listen to your fave songs. Ok, so goodbye for now me hearties! Stay cool always! (Man, I sound like Kool Kat on Kids Central...)
